We're Hiring! Tuck's Trucks Is Looking for our next Service Manager
Tuck's Trucks GMC is looking for an experienced Service Manager. This individual must be an excellent leader with great coaching skills and be equipped to successfully manage a highly performing team. The Service Manager will be responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department through productive staffing, customer retention and cost controls. This individual will be responsible for mentoring, coaching, and training the service team to be successful in serving customers and exceeding expectations. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, proven track record as a leader in service, be solution oriented and can creatively grow the business and maintain high departmental CSI.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer; match requirements and concerns to various service options.
- Maintain a service customer follow up system that supports repeat and referral business and contributes to customer happiness.
- Assist with hiring and supervising all service department personnel, as well as monitor their performance in servicing customers.
- Craft goals and objectives for the department, which include an annual operating budget.
- Assist with employee development.
- Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
- Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
- Manage technician productivity.
- Oversee the service scheduling process.
- Assist the shop foreman with the workflow.
- Hold weekly departmental meetings and set sales and service goals.
- Interact with outside vendors and other dealership management.
- Maintain an above national average CSI score and follow up with all guest issues or concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a service manager or 5 years in an automotive customer service capacity.
- Strong focus on providing excellent customer service.
- High school diploma or higher education.
- Clean driving record & valid driver's license.
- Driven personality, eager to improve and able to work within and support internal teams.
