2027 Sierra 1500

GMC today announced MSRP and full product information for the next-generation 2027 GMC Sierra 1500, ahead of its launch later this year.

The next-generation Sierra 1500 introduces bold new exterior design, new interiors, available all-new sixth-generation 5.7L and 6.6L Small Block V8 engines, an enhanced TurboMax engine, the segment-exclusive¹ Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel and GM’s new native user interface.

The 2027 Sierra 1500 introduces a more upright, confident exterior with machine-precision forms, a more vertical grille and an evolution of GMC’s signature lighting, including 7-shaped headlamps and taillamps with available welcome and farewell animations, available illuminated GMC signature lighting and available quad exhaust outlets.

The available MultiPro Tailgate is enhanced with a new design applique, four additional tie-downs and an integrated ruler system. The cargo bed features the most-in-class 16 standard tie-down locations¹, and also offers best-in-class¹ cargo volume. Trim-specific design details further distinguish the lineup, including the AT4X’s unique hood and more purposeful off-road stance, Denali’s signature chrome grille, and Denali Ultimate’s exclusive premium finishes.

Every trim receives a redesigned cabin with exclusive colorways, premium seating and expanded functionality. Available features include real wood trim, forged wood on Denali Ultimate and Carbon Fiber on AT4X, dynamic ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof and an all-new MultiPro center console that combines additional storage with an extended work surface. Sierra also offers best-in-class standard Crew Cab front head and leg room¹.

The 2027 Sierra 1500 offers four engines, all paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

• Enhanced TurboMax: 350 horsepower and 455 lb.-ft. of torque, an increase of 40 horsepower and 25 lb.-ft. compared with the current engine, delivering best-in-class standard torque¹. Updates include a new turbocharger, upgraded fuel injection, improved active thermal management and redesigned pistons.
• New 5.7L sixth-generation Small Block V8: 402 horsepower and 428 lb.-ft. of torque, with up to 13,500 pounds of maximum available trailering capability when properly equipped².
• New 6.6L sixth-generation Small Block V8: 481 horsepower and 501 lb.-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class¹, the largest-displacement V8 in its class¹ and GMC’s most powerful half-ton V8 ever¹.
• Class exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel: 305 horsepower and 495 lb.-ft. of torque. When paired with the available 34-gallon fuel tank (approx.), it offers more than 900 miles³ of available GM-estimated highway range.

The new V8 engines feature higher compression ratios, larger throttle bodies, tuned intake manifolds and a dual-fuel injection system that combines direct and port injection. A new 34-gallon fuel tank (approx.) is available with the V8 engines and the Duramax diesel.

The 2027 Sierra 1500 introduces GM’s new user interface, designed to make information easier to find and truck-specific tasks easier to manage. High-contrast displays including a reimagined split-view home screen, driver displays and all-new 3D visualization provide clear access to navigation, vehicle status, media, trailering, and available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology⁴ information.

Dedicated trailering and off-road functionality includes Hitch View, off-road camera⁵ views, mobile trailer-light checks and driver displays. New available camera⁵ views include Cabin Glance and front and rear underbody camera views. Quick-access controls put key features within easy reach. Adaptive Cruise Control¹⁷ and available Super Cruise driver assistance technology can now be activated with one tap.

The new UI integrates Android Auto⁶ and Apple CarPlay¹² with native vehicle features, giving customers the best of both worlds. Google built-in⁹ features like Google Gemini¹⁰, Google Maps⁹, apps on Google Play¹¹, and over-the-air updates help keep the experience connected and current.

The 16.3-inch diagonal center infotainment touchscreen display is the largest in its class¹, and the available first-in-class articulating center screen provides hidden storage¹. An available largest in class¹ 11.5-inch diagonal front passenger infotainment center display provides dedicated entertainment content, with polarized technology that helps keep content visible only to the passenger.

A 12.2-inch diagonal Driver Information Center offers Clean, Minimalist, Central Gauge, Tow/Haul and optional Dynamic Display if equipped with available Super Cruise.

An available camera suite⁵ provides up to 19 views, including Rear Camera Mirror, Cabin Glance, Hitch View, transparent trailer and front and rear underbody views. The available underbody cameras feature a wash system.

In-vehicle Trailering App¹³, Google built-in⁹ and Google Gemini¹⁰ support navigation, vehicle information and trailer-focused tasks through voice and touchscreen controls.

Available 5G connectivity¹⁴, six USB ports⁷, 120v outlet in center console, HDMI access and dual MagSafe wireless charging⁷ help keep passengers and devices connected on the road.

Industry-first available Trailer Brake Gain Assistant²

Each trim is elevated to be more premium, more capable, and more connected than ever before.

Pro is the work-focused entry point to the Sierra 1500 lineup, offering essential capability, modern technology and value.

On equipped vehicles, the system supports Automatic Lane Change and Turn Signal Initiated Lane Change¹⁵.
